Betterpet is a uniquely specialized digital media brand, focused exclusively on the pet industry. It boasts one of the fastest growing audiences of pet parents looking for sound pet care advice — every article is medically reviewed by licensed veterinarians.

Our growth strategy for betterpet.com oriented around an aggressive SEO strategy. This approach led to scaling pet health and care content, product review guides, and educational breed content.

Nearly two-thirds of our monthly content calendar was made up of educational content that that had little or no commercial value. Through this approach, we were able to establish betterpet — with search engines and consumers — as an authentic brand that’s there to help people make wise pet wellness decisions.

During my time working with betterpet, I was responsible for managing the team of freelance writers who contributed to the website, and I was a contributing editor, ensuring that each piece was providing sound pet care advice, was on-brand, and followed SEO best practices. I also wrote a few articles for betterpet.com.
